Swisslog helps AutoStore cross 300 installs in North America with Medline deployment

AutoStore recently announced it has surpassed 300 installations across North America. The 300th system, located at Medline’s new site installation in Aurora, Colorado, marks a full-circle moment for Swisslog and AutoStore. Empowered by Swisslog, this latest installation builds on a relationship that began more than a decade ago. With 400 projects over 10 years, Swisslog is one of the most experienced AutoStore integrators with a proven ability to configure, deploy, optimize and support large and complex systems.
Medline was the first company in North America to implement the AutoStore technology in 2013. “Swisslog is proud of our partnership with Medline and honored that they continue to trust us to automate and support their facilities with state-of-the-art automation and software,” said Sean Wallingford, president and CEO of Swisslog Americas.
Today, Medline operates over 20 AutoStore systems across the U.S., deploying 1,900 robots to support high-throughput fulfillment and enable next-day delivery to 95% of its customers.
Across North America, the 300 AutoStore installations now move millions of products daily, with more than 21,000 robots in operation. The technology helps businesses scale smarter and faster, ensuring extremely fast order processing times, with an average item retrieval time of about 27 seconds and an average time from order receipt to dispatch of 1-4 minutes for urgent orders.
