João Marinho is Head of Solutions Design & Engineering for Swisslog's Asia Pacific (except China) region, a role he took on in mid-2026 when Swisslog unified its ANZ and Southeast Asia design teams under his leadership, now working on projects spanning from India to New Zealand. He previously led the ANZ design and engineering function on its own from 2023. A mechanical engineer with an MBA in Logistics, he brings more than two decades of international experience in material handling and supply chain automation, spanning turn-key projects across Europe, Singapore, and Australia. Before joining Swisslog, he spent 8 years at Vanderlande leading sales engineering teams behind major Australian automation projects for clients including Woolworths and Amazon. He sits on Swisslog's APeC Leadership Team and is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
