Swisslog Healthcare Expands its Partnership with Vingmed Group in the Nordics

Swisslog Healthcare, a global leading supplier of solutions for medication management in healthcare, and Vingmed Group, one of the largest distributors of medical devices and services in the Nordic countries, are expanding their existing partnership to cover Sweden, Norway and Denmark following a successful three-year collaboration introducing Swisslog Healthcare pharmacy automation solutions to institutions in Finland.

Over the years, Swisslog Healthcare has created a solid presence in the Nordics with installations in more than 25 hospitals. The collaboration in Finland between Vingmed and Swisslog Healthcare revealed growing interest among regional healthcare institutions for advanced medication management solutions. The scope of the new arrangement helps the two companies serve the increased demand and larger territory. The Vingmed Group brings valuable capillary coverage to the alliance with its experienced sales and service teams. Vingmed is 160 employees strong, with operations in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark focusing exclusively on the healthcare sector.

Under the terms of the partnership, Swisslog Healthcare will continue to directly serve its customers with an on-going service agreement, while new solutions and equipment will be sold and serviced by Vingmed. Swisslog Healthcare will continue its local presence through its offices in Rådal – Norway, Partille – Sweden and Nibe – Denmark which become branch offices of Swisslog Healthcare AG, the holding company managing operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
