Responsibilities

Make an impact

Leadership
  • Provide leadership, control and co-ordination of CS SW team in terms of resources, performance management and information to maintain a team feeling and a target oriented approach towards common goals of the CS SW department.
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to the System Support Engineers on support-related issues.
  • Manage CS project issues, risks and assumptions through regular reporting.
  • Monitor, track and communicate CS project progress status.
  • Solve problems that interfere with the CS project status.
  • Ensure that any changes within the project are managed properly throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide software technical support and guidance to project team members pertaining to project /software matter.

  Flexibility
  • Travel internationally to clients and local country based offices.

  Technical Knowledge & Planning
  • Ensure team members are fully prepared and trained when take over Swisslog WMS installed based from Realization.
  • Try all effort to bring a WMS or any sub-functions particular functionality up and running in a shortest possible reasonable time.
  • Secure adequate resources for the project through forecasting, planning and scheduling with the CS SW Manager.
  • Identify gaps and propose technical solution to meet requirement specification.
  • Solid understanding of the customer’s operational working practices and requirements.

  Result Orientation
  • Successfully deliver project deliverables through the leadership and management of the project team, through team leaders and line managers as appropriate to ensure to meet and deliver contractual obligations of Swisslog clients.
  • Develop enhancements (change order), which include requirement specification, low level design, development, integration and training.
  • Control costs to ensure projects are kept within budget, are completed within the stipulated timescale whilst meeting the agreed scope without neglecting quality.
  • Pro-active sense for customer requirements and turn the requirements into action and having an open eye for new investments the customer may undertake.

  Customer Focus
  • Responding to customer concerns and complaints in an adequate manner.
  • Provide advice to the Support Engineers on customer relationship handling and management.
  • Ensure responsible customer service tickets are up to date.

  Communication
  • Hold regular progress reviews and checkpoint meetings in order to ensure that progress and information are communicated to all relevant employees.
  • Hold regular meetings/ briefings with the customer as appropriate, including post implementation reviews.

  Teamwork
  • Support cross department collaboration tasks and activities.

Application Requirements

What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience in similar capacity.
  • Fluent Malay, English in speaking and writing.
  • Good IT experience in an Oracle, Java environment
  • Practical experience of database and programming is a must.
  • Prior working knowledge and experience in warehouse system for automated and manual solutions is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Good leadership skills with strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with individuals from different levels and cultures.
  • Must be willing to travel and work overseas for long duration.
  • Must be willing to standby for support service after office hour.
  • Able to adhere to priorities and meet tight dateline.
