Make an impact
Swisslog has a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician with a Mechanical background (Fitter and Turner) who is passionate about robotics with a desire to work for an automation powerhouse.
We are looking for someone who is an experienced and qualified Fitter and Turner with demonstrated skills in maintaining and repairing technical systems.
This position is based at our 24/7 customer site at Mentone for permanent night shift (6pm-6am).
Here's what you'll do:
- Breakdown support during the facility working hours
- Trouble shooting as necessary
- Preventative and corrective maintenance of the PLC and control systems
- Take responsibility for your own safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors and visitors
- Maintain all required documentation
- Carry out inspections, services and cleaning in accordance with the sites relevant programs
Application Requirements
What you need to succeed
- You have a current trade qualification and license as a Fitter and Turner or a relevant field
- You’re experienced in repairing and maintaining technical systems in a production environment or similar
- You are a team player and experienced in managing multiple priorities
- You have a strong commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of PLC controlled plant and equipment and/or pneumatic equipment desirable
- Experience in the FMCG industry is desirable
- A disconnect/re-connect license is desirable
