Swisslog announces key leadership appointments in the UK

Swisslog, a leading provider of warehouse automation and software, is pleased to announce two significant UK leadership appointments set to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth across the country.
Martin Cleaton to lead UK Customer Service
Swisslog is delighted to welcome Martin Cleaton as the new Head of Customer Service UK, effective immediately. Martin brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in customer service excellence. Reporting directly to Jan van Bussel, Head of Customer Service EMEA, Martin joins Swisslog with an extensive background in senior technical services roles.
“My immediate priority is to conduct a thorough assessment of our existing customer service processes and performance,” says Martin. “Fostering and building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and customers is crucial for maintaining our customer-first approach.
Long term goals for the customer service team include enhancing our customer-centric culture, further developing the team’s capabilities, focusing on customer satisfaction, and solidifying Swisslog UK as a leader in service excellence.
Managing Director of Swisslog UK, James Sharples trusts Martin’s expertise will support these objectives: “Martin’s leadership will be invaluable in leading and developing the customer service team to ensure high standards of service delivery,” he says. “As Martin steps into this role, he will be taking over from Arthur Sumner, who has been instrumental in driving Swisslog’s customer service initiatives. Arthur will be moving to a global customer service position within the company, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his contributions to the UK team.”
Joshua Dias joins as Head of Account Management UK
In addition, Swisslog is excited to announce the appointment of Joshua Dias as the new Head of Account Management UK, reporting to Thomas Müller, Head of Account Management EMEA, effective 1st November. Joshua joined Swisslog in May 2021 as a Key Account Manager and has excelled in customer management, partnership development, and supporting customer solutions.
“Joshua brings a wealth of experience in managing key accounts, strategy and developing strong partnerships to ensure customer needs are met with the highest level of service and support,” says James Sharples. “His strategic vision has significantly contributed to business growth in Australia and New Zealand over the past three years, growing sales and enhancing relationships with key partners.”

Joshua was also part of the Swisslog Global Talent Program 2023, highlighting his commitment to professional development and excellence. The Global Talent Program aims to help talented colleagues at Swisslog build on significant strengths, while also empowering them to make an even greater impact on the business.
“The talent program enabled me to take the next step in progressing my career in the direction I wanted to go,” Joshua Dias said. “My immediate priority will be to strengthen relationships with key partners in the UK, ensuring we are providing the level of service our customers expect to receive from a globally renowned company like Swisslog.”
