Systems Specialist

The System specialist will be a primary interface between operations and Swisslog on site. They will interface with the customer and Swisslog to review tasking and issues related to WMS. Will provide error recovery and maintenance support and assist in WMS issues related to automation, and tracking those issues. Provides informal training and feedback as necessary to operations and 3PL on the WMS system. Will develop formal work instructions with 3PL and have daily meetings with 3PL planners and master planner to discuss impact of automation issues. Will NOT alter inventory. They will have a strong working knowledge of the automated system, the flow through the system, and the subsystems operations between all areas of the warehouse. Will have a proven experience in the software communications and those telegram types associated with the system and subsystems.

Make an impact

  • Drives continuous improvement through solving issues in WMS system and documenting them in various report styles, to summarize for the site manager.
  • Identify opportunities for software improvements and system enhancements
  • Work with Operations Planning and provide feedback on automation issues. Will work in WM6, CORS, BCI, and Kibana to track product loss issues within the automated system
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis for lost product
  • Assist with error recovery and troubleshooting of automated system using CORS, WM6, and BCI. In limited cases, PLC troubleshooting
  • Required to provide out of hours (pager) support for WMS related to Swisslog on site requests
  • Work with all levels of Customer, Operations, and Internal Management to provide requested information regarding product
  • Coordinate with on site project team and sysops manager for software changes

Bring to the team

Essential

BS degree in software engineering /or equally practical experience in the field of software troubleshooting. Proven experience working in software suites dealing with automated systems
