He/she will also be expected to develop all aspects of Swisslog’s Health and Safety Policy and Management System, and ensure that it is implemented consistently throughout the business.
In addition, he/she will be expected to consult and support the local Management Team in their responsibility regarding Health and Safety, as well as manage local Health and Safety activities in collaboration with the RSPP.

Make an impact
- Define and maintain OH&S system, processes, guidelines and forms in collaboration with the RSPP
- Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming Health and Safety legislation and ensure that Swisslog has systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance.
- Participate in the local Health and Safety Committee
- Work proactively with management to establish and maintain a development programme of continuous improvement in the Health and Safety within their areas of responsibility, which includes carrying out regular audits.
- Ensure that a thorough accident management system is in place, to undertake risk assessment processes to identify hazards and to ensure that appropriate control measures are in place.
- Maintain the accident and near miss records, analyse and using statistical and other analytical tools. Inform the Health and Safety Authorities of accidents or incidents that require notification.
- Ensure that appropriate training records are renewed and maintained in compliance with legal requirements.
- Establish effective communication at all levels of customer business
- Identify needs for skill development and propose training and skills development measures.
- Facilitate and organize the necessary H&S training and workshops together with line management and HR
- Satisfying Customer requirements by participating in monthly site meetings with Maintenance Team Managers and customers on OH&S issues, when required.
- Support in identification of risk factors, risk assessment and identification of safety and security measures. healthiness of the workplace, in compliance with current legislation on the basis of the specific knowledge of the company organization.
- Ensuring the fulfillment of art. 26 in the context of contracts with customers
- Manage the practices and the schedule relating to assessments, periodic checks, safety practices.
- Managing safety on construction sites (e.g. compliance with article 26 and TITLE IV of Legislative Decree 81/2008 in installation sites, Risk Assessment documents and / or Safety Operational Plans, technical / administrative documentation for verification of the technical and professional suitability of subcontractors.)
Bring to the team
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in a comparable function
- Thorough understanding of local OH&S Legislation
- Ability to interpret policies and legislations
- Profound knowledge and experience in Health and Safety.
- Experience of formulating, implementing and revising H&S policies and procedures
- Experience in managing ISO 45001
- Experience in Environment Management and ISO 14001
