- Travel frequently to national and international locations
Analytical thinking & decision making
- Effectively analyze large amounts of data in order to identify customer specific patterns which build the foundation/driver of the ultimate solution developed
- Identify customer benefits
- Monitor competitors closely and derive possible strategic steps
- Assess business risks and act proactively to mitigate them
- Carry out “offer screening process”, i.e. decide whether Swisslog should make an offer together with the relevant Consulting manager and Head of region
Technical / commercial knowledge
- Ensure consistent order intake
- Develop realistic sales forecasts and plan budget
- Demonstrate constant business sense by being acutely aware of customer benefits
- Follow market trends and developments closely
- Ensure a positive and increasingly recognized image of Swisslog in the market
- Create/develop business development plans
- Ensure QS guidelines are adopted in the sales process, according to the PHB
Customer focus
- Establish a close network with the customers, including frequent calls and visits at key accounts
- Know the customer’s main worries and problems and respond adequately
Strategic thinking
- Develop and implement a challenging sales strategy in accordance with Swisslog’s overall company strategy
Team work & integrity
- Be an integral part of the WDS regional management team
- Maintain a close network with other internal departments (Consulting, Project Realization, Software and Customer Support) as well as customers, sub-suppliers and partners
Communication
- Prepare and hold professional presentations using Power Point and other supporting tools like 3D animations
Bring to the team
- Master’s degree in engineering or Business Administration
- Fluent written and oral English
- Strong negotiation skills
- Professional presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient use of MS Office Tools
- Deep knowledge in standard contractual terms and conditions
- 5 – 10 years experience in a sales leadership position for capital intensive goods
- International work experience
