Swisslog moves into new headquarters in Aarau

Swisslog, a leading global provider of data-driven warehouse automation solutions, moved into its new headquarters in Aarau on 1 October. Around 300 employees will now work in the new building on Weihermattstrasse in the Telli district. With the move from Buchs to Aarau, the company returns to the place where its history began in 1900 with the founding of Sprecher + Schuh AG.

After more than 125 years of company history, we are continuing our journey in the place where it began."
All work areas in one location
At the previous site in Buchs, staff were spread across two office buildings and two warehouses. In Aarau, infrastructure, meeting rooms and services are brought together. The building offers around 6,000 square metres of floor space. The ground floor houses shipping, storage areas and reception, followed by three office floors. The "LogOut" cafeteria and several terraces are on the upper floors. Parking for cars and two-wheelers, some with EV charging points, now matches actual demand.
The building has been awarded the Gold certificate of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and meets high standards for sustainability and energy efficiency. It was constructed using a modular method with prefabricated building elements, and modern building technology reduces energy costs.
A working environment for personal exchange
The smart working and new work concept allows employees to choose, depending on the task, where they work: in the office, from home or in project zones. Meeting zones, quiet spaces and digital infrastructure support the different ways of working and encourage self-organised teams with short decision-making paths. With the new headquarters in a central location close to the city, Swisslog strengthens its position as an employer in Aarau. The modern working environment helps Swisslog attract qualified professionals to the region and keep them there for the long term. The interior design and new work concept were created by days with us from Zurich.
