Swisslog celebrates 30 years of automation expertise in Southeast Asia with CeMAT Southeast Asia 2025 showcase
19 May, 2025
Swisslog, a global leader in intralogistics and automation solutions, will mark its 30th year operating in Southeast Asia with a strong presence at CeMAT Southeast Asia 2025, May 19 to 21, 2025, at the Singapore Expo. Since establishing its regional base in Malaysia in 1995, Swisslog has delivered more than 100 automation projects – empowering customers across industries with advanced, human-centric solutions. This includes Southeast Asia’s largest pallet ASRS installation and over 30 AutoStore projects, solidifying its role as the region’s leading AutoStore integrator.
As automation gains momentum across industries in Southeast Asia, the need for intelligent solutions that seamlessly integrate both traditional infrastructure and modern systems, like AI, IoT, and 5G, is growing. An example is the region’s developing semiconductor sector —projected to grow from USD 31.32 billion in 2023 to USD 52.9 billion by 2032. Countries like Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam are ramping up investments, policy support, and talent development to meet surging demand. This rapid expansion underscores the urgent need for intelligent, scalable automation. Swisslog is well-positioned to support this growth, delivering future-ready automation solutions that reduce complexity and enhance operational efficiency for high-tech environments.
Elevating automation with a human touch
At CeMAT Southeast Asia, Swisslog will showcase the latest innovations at booth C15, hall 3, under its ongoing theme: “The Human Side of Automation”. The booth will feature product displays and digitally showcase the company’s latest technologies and solutions, designed to drive efficiency and flexibility across a wide range of industries – while putting people at the heart of every solution.
Highlights will include:
-
SynQ Software (WMS) - A software platform that provides warehouse management, material flow, and automation control system functionality in a single, modular platform.
-
AutoStore™ Multi-Temperature Solution – A compact, high-density storage and picking solution that supports variable temperature zones, including deep freeze environments.
-
Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) - Scalable solutions for handling pallets and smaller goods, such as cartons and bins, with minimal human intervention and maximum uptime.
-
Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) - Designed for intelligent point-to-point transportation across sectors such as grocery, food & beverage, fashion, general merchandise and cross-industry applications.

“For 30 years, Swisslog has been part of the transformation of Southeast Asia’s logistics landscape,” said Steven Xie, Head of Southeast Asia, Swisslog. “While our technology continues to evolve, our mission remains the same: to develop automation that empowers people, helping them work smarter, safer, and with greater satisfaction. CeMAT is a key event for us, and one we have been proud to participate in regularly over the years. It provides the ideal platform to celebrate our regional milestone, connect with industry leaders, and demonstrate how our human-centered approach to automation is shaping the warehouses of the future. Automation isn’t about replacing people - it’s about making their work more fulfilling and future-proof.”
Industry thought leadership at LogiSYM Asia Pacific 2025
Swisslog will also speak at the conference event, LogiSYM Asia Pacific 2025, co-organised by CeMAT Southeast Asia and LogiSYM Magazine, by sharing insights into regional automation trends and successful implementation strategies. On 21 May 2025, Sky Lee, Regional Director of Sales, Swisslog Southeast Asia, will deliver a presentation titled “Smarter and Faster: Advanced Intralogistics Automation in Semiconductors” from 09:30 AM to 10:00 AM SGT. His session will explore how automation is transforming the semiconductor supply chain. Drawing from real-world case studies, Sky will showcase Swisslog’s approach to improving warehouse efficiency and productivity, and how future-ready solutions address the industry's evolving challenges.
Later that day, from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM SGT, Dickson Yeo, Senior Logistic Consultant, Swisslog Logistics Automation, will participate in a panel discussion titled “The Intralogistics Future: Automated, Connected, Intelligent”. He will join fellow industry leaders to discuss the technologies reshaping intralogistics—from robotics and AI to connected systems—and the critical role smart automation plays in building resilient, scalable logistics networks.
This year is also Swisslog Global’s 125th anniversary, since the company originated in Switzerland - an achievement that highlights decades of innovation, continuous transformation, and global expansion.
