Cardinal Health partners with Swisslog to open largest distribution center supporting its at-Home Solutions

Cardinal Health recently opened its new distribution center in Greenville, South Carolina. At 350,000 square feet, the facility is touted as the largest and most automated site supporting Cardinal Health at-Home Solutions to date.

At the new facility, warehouse employees work alongside the latest automation, artificial intelligence and robotics technology to ship nearly 8,000 packages daily directly to patients' homes. These packages include products like diabetic supplies like continuous glucose monitors, incontinence and ostomy supplies, breast pumps, enteral nutrition pumps and formulas and more.

This is the second Cardinal Health distribution center to feature AutoStore, empowered by Swisslog; the first one opened last year in Grove City, Ohio. Swisslog’s automation experts once again worked with the Cardinal Health team to deploy the industry-leading robotic automation technology. 

The solution operates on synchronized intelligence from Swisslog’s SynQ software, which provides warehouse execution, material flow and automation control system functionality in a single, modular platform that integrates seamlessly with host systems and other warehouse software.
