Swisslog consolidates two regions to combine synergies: Antonio Trioschi leads EMEA region

Swisslog creates a strong EMEA region for combined synergies and broader competencies / milestone for targeted processes and synergies / two regions join forces to combine competencies / efficient organization taking into account geographical focus / achieving sustainable results

Buchs, Switzerland, 2 September 2020 - In order to optimize competencies and further strengthen service for its customers, Swisslog has decided to adapt its regional structure. With around 1,000 employees, the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) will blend synergies from the existing two European regions. The move will strengthen cross-border use of competencies and, at the same time, strengthen customer proximity through local structures.

Swisslog's new EMEA region is operational from 1 September 2020 and headed by Dr. Antonio Trioschi. Antonio has been with Swisslog for many years already and was previously responsible for its Greater Europe region. He has extensive management experience in intralogistics, corporate development, and the implementation of international change projects. Daniel Hauser, who was previously responsible for Swisslog’s Central Europe & Middle East region, will take on new challenges within the company.

Swisslog has also developed a market presence in the Middle East having been awarded 15 contracts over the last 11 years in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

 

From its Dortmund location in Germany, Swisslog is shaping the logistics sector with major projects for leading brands such as dm-drogerie markt with the latest robotic and data driven intralogistics solutions.

 

Swisslog is also present in the extended European area with 10 country locations, from Spain to Sweden. Among the well-known projects of recent years are ASDA (Great Britain), Varner (Sweden), Spar (Netherlands), La Doria (Italy) and ASKO (Norway).
