HAGEL, GERMANY: Flexible CarryPick solution for omnichannel logistics

The Hamburg-based lifestyle company HAGEL GmbH is one of Europe's leading omnichannel providers with 500 brands and over 30,000 different hair care and beauty products in its segment. In order to meet the growth-related challenges, the company has opted for the CarryPick product-to-person system.

CarryPick moves the 400 mobile shelves to one of the 5 workstations.

Growing demands

The growth in throughput, assortment and orders brought the former logistics property to its limits and the manual logistics structures were no longer equal to the order sizes. The goal was a flexible concept that would not cause any renewed capacity bottlenecks when implementing future expansion projects. The company now relies on the modular storage and picking system CarryPick.

Fully automatic storage and picking with CarryPick

In the HAGEL omnichannel warehouse, a total of 28 mobile robot units perform all transport tasks in the warehouse. The Swisslog software platform SynQ ensures that the average of 190,000 permanently stored articles quickly reach the workstations in the picking process. SynQ automatically positions fast moving A goods closer to the workstations, while slower rotating B and C articles are placed in the middle and back of the warehouse.

Thanks to CarryPick, our delivery time is less than 24 hours today and enables next-day delivery.
