Haier Europe strengthens general merchandise operations with Swisslog at its new Service Hub in Brugherio, Italy

Swisslog is proud to announce a new partnership with Haier Europe for the supply of an AutoStore system at the Candy Hoover Group S.r.l. facility in Brugherio, Italy, a key part of the Haier Group. The project represents a strategic step in the transformation of the site into a logistics hub dedicated to the distribution of spare parts for European markets.
The Brugherio site has started its conversion into a state-of-the-art Service Hub. This transformation represents a key step in the Group's industrial evolution plan, designed to ensure business continuity, logistical efficiency and sustainability for the site. The conversion of the entire site involves an investment of around €8 m. The new Service Hub will integrate receiving, storage, handling, packaging and shipping activities, as well as the preparation of spare parts and the regeneration of household appliances.

The solution empowered by Swisslog, will include an AutoStore system consisting of 39,000 bins served by 16 robots. The grid will be completed by a maintenance area on the mezzanine and anti-seismic stiffening elements in accordance with the local regulations. The project will include a conveyor system for light goods all orchestrated by Swisslog's proprietary SynQ software, customized to integrate seamlessly with the existing infrastructure.
Swisslog was selected due to its proven experience in AutoStore projects, broad portfolio of national and international references and a deep knowledge of logistics processes and software solutions. Customer support during the sales and design phases was also fundamental, as well as clarity in software integration and the ability to effectively involve all stakeholders.

Installation is expected to take place between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, with final testing expected by mid-2026.
