Sulser Logistics Solutions AG, is a subsidiary of the Sulser Group based near Zurich. Sulser, a logistics service provider, realized that keeping pace with customer requirements meant they had to be more flexible and better able to respond quickly to changes in the market. Careful consideration led to the decision to modify and expand the existing logistics center near Brunegg and to modernize its high-bay warehouse from the ground up. Swisslog was contracted as the concept, implementation and service partner for the project.

Scalable and Modular

Modernizing its automated high-bay warehouse allowed for significantly more pallet capacity and greater flexibility.

An essential requirement was to make the system easily scalable to respond to changes in the market quickly.

A high pick rate was achieved with mini-load picking and high throughput of pallets per hour in double cycles between goods receipt and shipping.

The intelligent interaction of material flow control and state-of-the-art technology has permitted Sulser to achieve all of their objectives. The new Swisslog Vectura stacker cranes work extremely fast and efficiently in the new high-bay warehouse aisles.
