Swisslog adopts a market-focused perspective with Industry Practice Groups (IPGs) aimed at developing efficient systems and procedures for specific industry segments. The IPGs operate worldwide for all Swisslog companies. Their role is that of a “center of excellence”, a forum of our most experienced employees with specific know-how.
They gather experience from practical applications of our system solutions, analyze the information obtained and make it available to all Swisslog companies throughout the world, and through them, to all our customers.
The IPGs also monitor trends and create logistics solutions.
Total Solutions from Swisslog
Swisslog is able to create logistics solutions, from the early consultation phase (where we are able to make use of simulation tools), the right through to implementation (including civil engineering) and finally customer support.
The main Swisslog components for the implementation phase, are our so called ‘Industry Solutions’. Together with logistics mastering equipment like automatic transport systems, storage systems, case picking systems, robotic order picking systems, sorting systems and automatic vehicle loading and unloading systems Swisslog is capable to fulfil all specific logistic requirements.
These components are linked together with our integrated warehouse management system, through the Single Point of Control (SPOC) software
