How
the StackRunner Concept Works:
Receiving:
In receiving, single-SKU pallets with reusable containers are depalletized stack by stack. A gantry
robot places the single-SKU stacks in the storage area.
Picking:
For picking, gantry robots remove substacks from storage. The substacks, still assigned to several orders,
are separated by item. In the robot cells (StarRobot) they are stacked onto shipping load carriers (pallets,
rolling containers or rolling carts) in the desired sequence. The finished load carriers are then cross-docked
in downstream supply chain hubs or delivered directly to stores.
