Swisslog offers a versatile packaging solution (only available in North America), the ATP system, that provides easy filling and refilling of medications through high-speed dispensing, accurate labeling of medication pouches, flexible printing package sizes and barcoding. The smallest ATP unit is a "table top" unit with a capacity of up to 71 canisters. The largest ATP system provides up to 384 canisters.

ATP High Speed Tablet Packager

Swisslog’s ATP system (only available in North America) is a versatile packaging solution that provides easy filling and refilling of medications through high-speed dispensing, accurate labeling of medication pouches, flexible printing package sizes and bar-coding. The packager interfaces with pharmacy information systems for automatic replenishment of unit-based cabinets, patient carts or nurse servers. For smaller applications, the ATP-71 Table Top Packager is available.

PillPick pharmacy automation system components



Packaging

Boxstation

Workstation for preparing all medications for packaging, storage and dispensing. Canisters (PillBox/PhialBox) are encoded with medication-specific information. Information is written to a radio frequency (RF) tag and output to a bar-code label.

  • PillBox - Tamper resistant canister for tablets and capsules.
  • PhialBox - Tamper resistant canister for medications to be over-wrapped (unit dose vials, ampoules, cups and syringes.


AutoBox

Buffer module that automatically interfaces with packaging component (PillPicker) to expedite the loading and unloading of PillBoxes.



AutoPhial

Module for expediting the loading and unloading of items to be over-wrapped (PhialBoxes) into the packager (PillPicker).



PillPicker

Central packaging component of the PillPick system. Unit dose medications are either dispensed from this unit or automatically loaded into storage (DrugNest).



Storage

DrugNest

High-density storage of bar-coded unit doses. This component stores medicaitons, purges expired medications, automates returns, credits returned medications, and supports complete inventory control.



Dispensing

PickRing

A 24-hour supply of bar-coded patient medications, assembled on a patented, flexible ring. Medications are arranged in the order of administration. PickRing is easily configurable.



FillBox

Loads unit dose medications in patient-specific drawers in cart exchange units. FillBox automatically opens, fills, labels, and closes cart drawers.



System Control

PillPick Manager

System software managing all PillPick component control and inventory management.
