Swisslog Australia wins Coca-Cola New Zealand “Supplier Challenge Award”

Buchs/Aarau, 19 October 2011 – Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) presented Swisslog Australia with the “Supplier Challenge Award” during its annual Supplier of the Year Awards. This award recognizes Swisslog’s contribution towards Innovation in CCA’s New Zealand business.

The Swisslog concept is based on fully automated case picking and palletizing in the DC to deliver customer orders on a case level. This, combined with sequence loading of trucks, enables efficient and safe customer delivery.

The concept could provide significant benefits to CCA’s Route business. To prove the concept Swisslog consultants went out on the Route to experience how CCA supplies to its customers.

The concept includes automated depalletizing, a case buffer with SmartCarrier, QuickMove conveyors and automated palletizing all integrated into the existing site in Auckland.
