Swisslog’s RoboCourier™ autonomous mobile robot is a natural extension to the Automated Materials Transport Systems (AMTS) product family (available only in North America). RoboCourier™ is available for both INTRA-departmental and INTER-departmental use providing on-demand and scheduled transport of payloads weighing up to 50 pounds. RoboCourier fills the materials transport void between our pneumatic tube system (on-demand light loads) and our automated guided vehicle system (scheduled heavy bulk loads).

RoboCourier utilizes a sophisticated obstacle avoidance system and can interface with automatic doors and elevators. A lockable payload compartment allows RoboCourier to navigate multiple floors and departments throughout an entire hospital. For intra-departmental use, an open payload compartment is designed for transportation within a single-floor central laboratory. The primary benefit of AMRs is increased operational efficiency.
